Brookfield is acreage. Long driveways, gates, dams, horses, and the heritage-listed showground and hall at 550 Brookfield Road, on land set aside for the hall in 1885 and for the showgrounds in 1911. It is also, by the census, an older suburb than its neighbours — around three and a half thousand people, mostly established families, often on their second or third baby and sometimes with a bigger gap between children than they had planned.

Four things, and they take a moment to send: the gate arrangement and any code, which door people actually use, whether the driveway is long or unsealed, and whether the dogs are friendly. If mobile reception is patchy at your end of the property, tell me that too, so I'm not standing at a gate trying to ring you. None of this is fussiness — it just means the ninety minutes starts when I arrive rather than ten minutes later.

Yes, and both matter. Before a release, a thorough oral assessment and a suck test tell us whether a restriction is genuinely what's driving the difficulty, and preparation makes the recovery gentler. Afterwards, aftercare is where the real work sits — supporting healing, keeping the tissue mobile, and helping your baby learn a new way to move a tongue that has never moved that way before. I also offer a Serrapeptase support consult, 60 minutes at $160, as part of a comprehensive aftercare plan. I don't perform releases myself; I'll refer you to a trusted provider if you need one.
This is my third baby, and feeding has never gone like this before. Can that happen?
It happens all the time, and it catches experienced mothers hardest. Every baby brings a different palate, a different jaw and a different suck, and your own body is a few years older than it was last time. Being good at breastfeeding two children does not make you immune to a third who cannot get a deep latch. We look at this baby specifically — history, a feed watched end to end, a full oral assessment — and work out what is actually in the way.
